Decrease in misinformation tracked on Twitter and other major social networks after outgoing US President Trump was banned from those platforms in the aftermath of the January 6 attack on the US Capitol building.
Important to note that a slew of other purveyors for misinformation, disinformation, and malinformation were also banned from these sites within the same period of just a few days, so that drop is the consequence of the new banning policies and practices in general, not just the banning of that one account.
