$830 million
Amount spent by donors large and small on a pair of senate elections and subsequent runoffs that took place in the US state of Georgia in November and yesterday, respectively.
More than $490 million of that total was spent in the final two months leading up to the runoffs, alone, and the aggregate cost has earned these elections the distinction of being the first and second most expensive legislatives races in US history.
